As little children, we are all taught
when coloring to stay "between the lines."
This early training keeps most of us in the group consciousness of our upbringing.
Few of us venture to go outside the lines and experience life with an open mind and heart.
This story is about someone who dared to go outside the lines to deal with the challenges in life.
In 1995, a young father of three daughters was working as a Director of
Information Services for a large grocery chain in New Orleans.
His company was buying a competitor and was expanding from 18 to 45 stores.
Being in charge of the computers for the company, he was under a lot of pressure.
At that time, he met a local practitioner who challenged his current paradigm.
This practitioner had the young executive simply tap with his fingertips on certain acupuncture spots
on the body. The executive was amazed to feel the tension, stress and pressure simply leaving
his body. The young father wanted to know more about this exciting work and decided to attend
training sessions with the practitioner to learn more techniques. The young executive utilized
the techniques that he learned on himself and his family with success. At the beginning of 1997,
the Director now found that his company had sold out and was laid off from his job. During that
time, the tapping techniques really kept him balanced and centered in his life. He landed another
job and began another career. A year later, tragedy struck as his wife collapsed in front of
him and his three daughters. A 911 call resulted in the paramedics shocking the young mother and
she regained consciousness. Unfortunately, she suffered an anoxic brain injury and was living in
a coma. His young wife passed away after 8 months in a coma. The techniques really became
used extensively as the father administered the techniques on himself and his children during this time
of their life. Each visit was a possible traumatic experience as the young mother's body was
occasionally posturing and shaking in pain. The children handled the situation very maturely and
asked to be tapped to deal with the emotions. After the death, the children's grades were
maintained and the middle daughter had perfect attendance the next school year. Thank God the
father had learned these techniques to benefit his family. A year later, the young father lost
his job and felt that his calling in life would be to help others deal with the challenges of life by
utilizing these techniques. He continued to learn other modalities and incorporated them into the
work. The father spent the next year exploring, learning and refining his system along with the
original practitioner. Today, this work is called the
Changing Lives Energetic Balancing System
and is benefiting their clients to reach the maximum potential in
their spiritual, mental, physical and emotional lives by balancing them energetically.
I am the young father in the story.
